Women helping Women
When opening our store, besides creating a unique shopping experience in a warm and friendly boutique atmosphere, giving back to the community we serve was another primary goal. As part of this on-going mission, we established avenues to help those that are less fortunate. Those avenues have taken a couple of paths.
Consigning for a Cause - turning clothes in your closet into cash for your favorite charity. This perpetual fund raises funds for any not-for-profit organization without any out-of-pocket cost or staffing requirements, or for individuals looking for ways to give to their favorite charity.
End-of-Cycle Donations – for items at the end of the consignment cycle- the consignor has the opportunity to donate the remaining clothing a to “special needs” organizations that provide assistance to women and children.
Special Events - A fundraiser were the primary purpose is to raise money for a cause during a given period of time, such as, in support of Hands on Nashville during the aftermath of the 2010 Greater Nashville flood.
GiGi’s Playhouse is an established series of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers.
Serving children and adults of all ages, each Playhouse provides educational and therapeutic programs at no charge to families; and in a format that individuals with Down syndrome learn best. All programs aim to maximize self-confidence and empower individuals to achieve their greatest potential. GiGi’s Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization.
Mending Hearts welcomes all clients who are seeking change from a life of drugs and alcohol addiction. We understand that with the challenges of addiction are also the struggles with other life changing disorders. We expect many of the individuals that present at our programs may have co-occurring disorders and will screen for those disorders. We strive to provide life-enhancing recovery options that are stage matched for individuals.

Life Recovery Program
The power of community.
The problem of poverty is much more a problem of broken relationship than it is a lack of material resources. As individuals see and experience increased opportunities, relational support, improved situations, and genuine joy, hope begins to take root.
At Nashville Rescue Mission, through our Life Recovery Programs, education classes, job training, and counseling students have the opportunity to build a better future.
